HIGH QUALITY WOOD WORKING

THE STUDIO 205 STORY

Studio 205 was many years in the making. John Storey, a graphic designer by day, had longtime dreamt of designing custom furniture pieces – and he has a sketchbook full of designs to prove it. His good friend Kevin Forbes, a frozen custard slinger by day, and a night-time/weekend craftsman who truly enjoyed spending free time building projects for his family. The two had spent many hours, and a lot of beers, talking over ideas for custom home furnishings and finally in 2013 they decided to put their dreams into action and start building custom home furnishings. Each piece is unique and takes on the personality of the client, and the space that it will live in. We strive to create timeless, heirloom quality pieces that will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Testimonials

The guys at Studio 205 have created some really nice furnishings for my home.
I asked Kevin and John to create something that even though I knew they’d never done before, would turn out beautiful...and I was right!
I’ve worked with these two on 3 different projects, and each one comes out better than I could have imagined. There’s nothing they can’t do.

OUR APPROACH

We approach every project with a fresh perspective. We discuss the client’s needs and expectations and determine the best material and design. We provide layouts for approval as well as examples of materials for approval. We strive for a collaborative working relationship and honest customer service. We request contracts are paid half at the kick-off of the project, and the remainder when the finished work is to your complete satisfaction.

CUSTOM and creative

Our work runs the gamut from large conference room tables and dining room tables, to a custom live edge desk that was wall-mounted in a family home. We work with our clients to create solutions to meet their needs. We love working with wood and matching up the different kinds of woods to best suit the project to create one of a kind, long lasting pieces.
